white peach cardamom crumble

this looked really good on the blog i saw it on... so i thought id make it.. but i hadnt heard of the spice cardamom. so i looked for it at the store.. uh.. like 10 for a container... a little much when all i needed was 1/4tsp. i asked my friend if she had some and she said shed bring me some.. in the end, she forgot it. so i made it w/o the cardamom... it was decent.. a nice warm, fruity dessert which i enjoyed a la mode!

sorry i didnt take pictures.. check out the blog link for some good pictures :)

(also, i used a 9x13 pan.. it wouldnt fit in a 7x10 for me..)

white peach cardamom crumble
from how sweet it is

6 white peaches, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons loosely packed brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cardamom
crumble
1/3 cup old-fashioned oats
1/3 cup loosely packed brown sugar
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cardamom
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
ice cream/frozen yogurt for serving
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lay peaches in a baking dish (mine was a rectangular 7 x 10) and sprinkle with brown sugar, cardamom and salt. Toss to coat, then set aside.
In a large bowl, combine oats, flour, sugar, cinnamon, cardamom and salt, stirring to mix. Mash in softened butter using a fork or your hands, until coarse crumbles remain. Sprinkle topping all over peaches. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until crumble is golden on top. Serve immediately with ice cream or frozen yogurt.
