chocolate chocolate chip cookies

i was chatting w/ a friend about cookies and decided to make some. yum. i went w/ one i havent made before--chocolate chocolate chip cookies.

i happened to make these friday after thanksgiving. after i ate some leftovers... but i started to feel like throwing up from the food i ate.. which didnt make for a pleasant baking experience..

i used my new cookie scoop... but it turned out that it was pretty big.. so my cookies were very thick and didnt look like they had cooked at all.. so i baked them longer, and longer... which was a mistake.. so i ended up w/ hard cookies.. which are not my favorite or even close..

BUT.. just to let you know.. these cookies are soooooo delicious hard (flavor wise. not texture).. i cant imagine what they would be like soft... and i really want to make them again so i can try them..

    Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In large bowl, beat butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; stir into the butter mixture until well blended. Mix in the chocolate chips and walnuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or just until set. Cool slightly on the cookie sheets before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
