honey granola!

ive come across a lot of granola recipes recently... so i thought i would try my hand at making some... it was my turn to make church refreshments... i decided to do a simple yogurt bar... yogurt, fruit, granola.. put it together however you would like!  lets hope it goes ok! :)

i put craisins in one. and almond slices in the other..  and omitted the rasins!

easy honey granola recipe!

INGREDIENTS
2 cups uncooked rolled oats
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup honey — warm this to liquid consistency
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup golden raisins
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
2. In a large bowl, combine oats, brown sugar and cinnamon.
3. Warm honey in microwave until no longer viscous. I put it in a glass measuring cup.
4. Add olive oil to the honey and mix together.
5. Pour honey and oil mixture over the dry ingredients and mix together.
6. Spread on a baking sheet. I use a cookie sheet with parchment paper. It is nice for cleanup and nonstick.
7. Bake granola for about 25 minutes. Stir once during baking.
8. Remove granola from oven and put back into the mixing bowl. Add raisins and stir.
9. As the granola cools, it will harden. Break it apart during cooling process. It may harden and stick to your bowl. It can be broken up fairly easily if this happens.
You can add nuts and seeds to this recipe if desired. I’d say about 1/3 cups chopped.
