kalua pig

i absolutely LOVE hawaiian food... i could eat it just about every day... a popular hawaiian dish is kalua pig.. kalua literally means "to cook in an underground oven" (from wikipedia!).. this is usually served at luaus... and the pig is slowly cooked in this underground oven..

so, i dont have an underground oven... but apparently people have found a way to replicate it! :)

i ran out and bought a crockpot... and while i was so very nervous to use that thing... and ive learned to trust it and leave it on when im not home....

this recipe is INCREDIBLY simple and so very yummy! try it! :)

I made this exact recipe several years ago. It made too much for me!
